The Federal TRIO Programs are outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide academic success services to qualified individuals. 


Student Support Services

for Undergraduate Students

Student Support Services (SSS) is a TRIO program for current or incoming university students who need academic assistance and other services to be successful at the University. The project provides advising, instruction, tutoring and informational workshops for eligible students.


Upward Bound

for High School Students

Upward Bound is a college preparation program for high school students from low income famlies or who are potential first generation college students.


About TRIO

The University of Utah currently operates 2 federally funded programs, Upward Bound (UB), for high school students and Student Support Services (SSS) for college students.

 FAFSA applications are now open for the next academic year 2017-18, now! Feb 1, 2017was the U of U priority deadline but it is not to late to apply! 



Last day of classes for University students is April 25th! 
No classes on April 26th!
Final exams Thurs-Wed, April 27-May 3
